Cirencester Town vs Street preview
Street travel to promotion chasing Cirencester Town hoping to upset the odds and continue their quest to end the season on a high note. There was late drama when the two teams met back in December with the Cobblers spending large parts of the game on the back foot only for Steve Murray and Dave O'Hare to snatch a 2-1 victory with goals in the last ten minutes.
Cirencester's form is undeniably strong with 8 wins in their last 9 games, a run that has seen them rise to 5th in the table and put themselves in a strong position for a play off finish. They have also amassed an impressive 56 goals at home thanks largely to the top two scorers in the division Ben Whitehead and Alan Griffin.
Street's good form has seen them defeated only once in their last 7 games and Manager Rich Fey is proud of his sides achievements heading into the home straight "Only four games to go and we are still sat 10th which would be a unbelievable achievement to finish in and around that position. We’re missing a couple due to work commitments and unavailability but welcome back Phil Ormrod who missed last week due to a wedding. We look forward to playing on that surface and the pressure is all on them to win so we can go out and enjoy ourselves. Finally everyone in the first team would like to congratulate the reserve team players and manager Bryan Ashton plus Terry Crocker and his under 18 boys after both cementing runners up spots in their respective leagues this week. Well done to you all!"
Good luck Rich, Nath and all the players. UP THE COBBS!
