The Cobblers start the season this Saturday at the Tannery with the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round against fellow Western League opposition Hallen.
Richard Fey's men will be looking to progress against a Hallen team who have several new signings and are looking to improve on last seasons results.
Last year the Cobblers drew 2-2 at St Austell away before beating them 3-0 in the replay, in the Preliminary they were drawn at home to Southern League Larkhall Athletic and won 4-2, then their run ended in the 1st Qualifying round with a 4-2 away loss to Southern League Winchester City.
Last year Hallen got knocked out at this stage 2-0 by Blackfield & Langley who later in the season also knocked the Cobblers out of the FA Vase.
