Street vs Willand Rovers preview

Top two clash at the Tannery!

A brilliant game in prospect at the Tannery Ground this Saturday when table toppers Street play host to 2nd place Willand Rovers. The two in form teams are currently setting the pace in the Western League Premier Division, and Willand will be full of confidence after defeating Street twice earlier in the season.

Street will be hoping to continue a 13 game winning run in the league and Manager Rich Fey is hoping for a big crowd and performance from his side “Willand are on a great run as well as ourselves so it will be a good game for the supporters and we’re expecting a big gate. The last game we lost was against them in the FA Vase which no way was a 7-1 scoreline. We were brilliant first half but missing a penalty didn’t help our cause and they used ‘Storm Brian’ (wind) well and everything they hit went in during the 2nd half. It’s a game we’re looking forward to, we have a fit squad and will try and avoid a defeat as the pressure is on them to beat us as they are playing catch up”

Kick off is 15:00, bar open from 1:30. Come and support the Cobblers in the last game of 2017!
