Street v Hallen Preview

Street have gone 3 weeks without a competitive fixture with the last game coming in the 3-2 victory over Bridgwater Town just before Christmas. Street are currently six points clear at the top of the Western League Premier Division and with the majority of the final 17 games being played at home there is real optimism from the supporters that Rich Fey and his men can finish the season strongly.

Saturday's opponents are Hallen who Street have already faced 3 times this season and have proved to be tough opposition. The sides met in the FA Cup at the start of the season which went to a replay and then in the league Dave O'Hare scored in a narrow 1-0 win for Street back in September. Hallen sit in in 17th place but have remained competitive for the majority of the season and are undefeated in their last 3 games.

Manger Rich Fey " Its nice to finally get back to action after an extended break. The cancellations have been a little frustrating but the boys attitude towards training has been first class. Both sides know each other fairly well and I'm expecting a difficult contest so will have to approach the game in the right way. I'm hoping the supporters turn up in their numbers as they have been brilliant all season and are important to our chances of success with so many home games still to play"

Half price season tickets still on sale, only £45 to watch all the remaining home games which works out just over £4 per game. Please ask at the pay booth before Saturday's game to purchase your ticket. Otherwise contact James Court on 07780008645.

Bar open from 13:30 this Saturday, come and see if Street can make it a winning start to 2018. UP THE COBBS!
