Dale Hunt has left for neighbours Shepton Mallet after nearly 7 years with the club. Dale came through our reserves and into the first team in recent times played a big part in the clubs best ever finish last season but has now opted for a change in scenery.
Manager Rich Fey "To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. Dale was brilliant for us last season starting 28 and scoring 15 goals. Unfortunately this season he has had alot of injuries that have kept him out of the 1st team squad with a long standing groin problem. We’ve helped him get fit and Iv sorted game time for him due to us only playing twice in the last 8 weeks but he text me to say he was leaving. I am gutted and tried to assure him he would be part of us with 9 weeks to go and 16 games left to play. Unfortunately Dale wants to see the season out at Shepton so we all wish him all the best. We are on the look out for a replacement and hope to add to the squad in the near future"
