It's 1st vs 2nd at the Tannery

We try again!
After a miserable spell of weather that has hit the Western League programme hard in recent months we pray the weather gods are a little kinder this Saturday as we welcome 2nd place Melksham to the Tannery Ground. In recent times its a fixture that's been full of goals, talking points and late drama so more of the same is expected between the two front runners in the division.
Despite a 4-2 defeat to Cribbs on Easter Monday, the only surviving game in the league that day, Melksham have been on a fine run of form winning 7 league games leading up to that game and are positioned very well to finish the season strongly as the chase for promotion spots hots up. Street have maintained their 14 point advantage at the top of the pile and it was in fact Saturday's visitors who last took points off the Cobblers back in September when a Dave O'Hare goal late on earned a point in a thrilling 3-3 draw.
Manager Rich Fey "Really looking forward to tomorrow and a big crowd is expected. Its top vs 2nd and it’s always entertaining games against them. They will be looking for a reaction after their loss to Cribbs last Monday and we need to ready for that and to try and keep our unbeaten run going. Melksham know they can’t afford to drop any more points so the pressure is on them"
Massive game and a big crowd expected so come and support the boys. Bar and Turnstiles open from 13:30.
UP THE COBBS!
