Street vs Cribbs preview

Street on the verge of promotion!

Street are on the verge of making history and are now only 1 point away from promotion to the Southern League after a record breaking winning streak of 24 games. If results go the Cobblers way Saturday they could be crowned champions a fitting way to end a quite remarkable league season.

Programme Cover - 'Punchy'

Street have already played tomorrows opponents Cribbs twice this season scoring 3 in both games with Steve Murray amongst the goals on each occasion. Cribbs have had a tough run of fixtures playing 4 of the top 6 in recent games but have remained very competitive, the highlights being a victory over Melksham Town and a respectable draw against 2nd place Bradford.

It will take a brave person to now bet against Street going on to win the Western League Premier Division title an achievement manager Rich Fey is obviously very proud of “Looking forward to tomorrow after the boys heroics last night beating Clevedon with 10 men. With this being our 4th game in 8 days we will keep changing the side to keep everyone fresh. We know one more win may be enough to clinch the title if others drop points around us. I personally don’t believe any of them will reach 86 points which we are currently on so it’s a massive credit to our lads who are on a unbelievable run and deserve all the accolades they are receiving. I just hope the whole of Street come out and support us in what is a record breaking season. We now have only 6 games to play, 5 of which are at the Tannery”

Not to be missed if often said but this is not to missed!

Bar and turnstiles open at 1:30, get yourself up there early and let’s create a great Tannery atmosphere.
