Street vs Bridport Preview

3 games left for the champions

Programme cover

After Saturday’s 2-2 with Brislington we welcome Bridport to the Tannery Ground in what is Street’s penultimate home game in a dazzling league campaign.  Bridport are having a good season and are currently in mid table,  incredibly they still have 9 games to play after a number of cancelled games. Massive congratulations to current Bridport and ex Street striker Mark Salter on his 500th goal recently, an outstanding achievement and still fondly remembered by everyone at the club. Let’s hope he stays quiet tonight though!

Street dropped points on Saturday for the first time since September but set a new club record in the process. The Cobblers have now gone past last season’s exceptional points total with 3 games still to go and now sit on 93 points. A fine effort from the players.  Manager Rich Fey “Another tough game tonight and 3 more league games to go. After dropping 2 points on Saturday the pressure is now off after winning the previous 29 league and LPC cup games. We need to enjoy the final week of the season in what has been an historic one. We’re hoping again of a good crowd and to try and get back to winning ways. We have a couple of knocks so we will again rotate the squad Come and see if the boys can stretch this unbeaten record a little further. Bar and turnstiles open from 6.  UP THE COBBS!
