Street 6-1 Chipping Sodbury

O'Hare nets hat-trick as league season ends on a high

Toolstation Western League Champions league season 2017/18

Street were at their ruthless best as they made it to 100 goals for the season with a 6-1 victory over Chipping Sodbury. Midfielder Dave O'Hare scored his third hat-trick of the season to which brought the curtain down on a quite remarkable season.

Top scorer Steve Murray got the ball rolling on 12 minutes as he got on the end of a through ball to smash it high past the keeper. Ten minutes later a delightful left wing cross by Lewis Tasker saw O'Hare out jump the Chipping Sodbury defence to brilliantly nod home. Street were in complete control with Lewis Hogg controlling the midfield superbly

The second half Street upped the pressure and and on 54 minutes O'Hare latched onto a Josh Wadham pass to cooly slot past the keeper to make it 3-0. With 78 minutes on the clock skipper Ben Amghar smashed home following a goal mouth scramble and moments later O'Hare pulled the ball back to Lewis Waldy to score from close range and make it 5-0. Chipping Sodbury pulled a goal back just before the final whistle but Street were not finished as O'Hare completed his hat trick by calmly rolling the ball past the keeper following good work from Harry Foster.

An entertaining game to end the league season on a high. Big thank you to the Tasker family for their match sponosrship and to the Street FC supporters for their match ball sponorship as well. Very much appreciated!

Quick turnaround as we host Buckland Athletic in the Les Phillips Cup semi final Monday evening. UP THE COBBS!

MOM award went to Ollie Morris which was presented by Mr and Mrs Tasker!
