Saturday 6th October. Match sponsor Aaron Cribb.
Following Street's narrow 1-0 defeat to Cinderford last week we now play host to Bideford in another Evo-Stik South Division South fixture. Remarkably this is the first of three games between the two sides in the space of 11 days having been drawn against each other in the FA Trophy(Oct 13th) and League Cup(Oct 16th).
Bideford have an identical league record to Street coming into this game having picked up 11 points in their opening 7 games and sit in 7th place. They will be encouraged by decent recent form with 2 wins and a draw in their last 3 games, the most recent a 1-1 draw against Melskham Town.
Street themselves would be disappointed not to take something from last weeks game with a host of good chances going begging, but its been an encouraging start to life in what is still early days in this division. Manager Rich Fey "Can’t wait for tomorrow, it’s nice to be back playing at home again having only played two home Saturday games so far this season. We are in for a tough afternoon against Bideford who always seem to be there or there abouts and have a good squad but we’re concentrating on ourselves and have trained twice this week and the boys are looking sharp"
Street FC are delighted to be welcoming Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance to the Tannery before the game and match sponsor Aaron Cribb will be presenting them a cheque following a successful fundraiser held back in August,
Clubhouse and turnstiles open from 13:00, kick off is 15:00.
