Cobblers on the road in FA Trophy
It's game two in the trilogy of games against Bideford as Street make the trip to North Devon, this time in an all important FA Trophy tie. The Cobblers came out on top last weekend securing an excellent 4-1 at the Tannery but the game was a lot tighter the the score line suggests with Bideford going down to ten men during the first half.
A new game and a new challenge awaits for both teams with Bideford hoping home advantage will prove decisive in making progress in this years competition.
Street will be buoyed by strong away support making the coach journey to the game something manager Rich Fey appreciates "It’s funny how football works it’s self out playing Bideford for the 2nd time in a week and then again next Tuesday in league cup making it 3 times in 10 days. Let’s hope for no replay or will be fed up of each other!! It’s a tough fixture and we can’t read too much into winning 4-1 last week when they went down to ten men at half time. Saying that our attitudes and performance were excellent and we worked really hard but need to be at that level tomorrow to stay in the hat. We have a full coach of support and on behalf of myself, staff and players would like to say it's fully appreciated"
Let's hope for a positive result for the travelling Cobbs!
