Tough game for the Cobblers in FA Trophy

Street's journey in the FA Trophy continues this Saturday when they make the relatively short trip to Premier Division South table toppers Weymouth. Its a game that has captured the imagination of the Street supporters with a large following expected to make the trip to Dorset to see if the Cobblers can upset the odds and further their progress in the competition. Following hard fought wins over Bideford and Cinderford in previous rounds Street have once again been given an away tie and the assignment couldn't come much tougher against in form Weymouth who knocked out neighbours Taunton Town in the previous round.

Manager Rich Fey is looking forward a game where the pressure is all on the home team "Saturday is going to be a great day for the club as a whole and one that everyone is looking forward to. We have great support making the trip to see us compete against a team topping the league above. Weymouth FC are a massive non league club and it’s going to be one of the biggest games some of our lads have played in and certainly one of the biggest in Streets history. To think little old Street competing against a club the size of Weymouth was unthinkable 3 years ago but we’re going to give it our best shot and hopefully come away with our heads held high. Unfortunately Ben Amghar misses out due to picking up two yellow cards in this competition which is a stupid rule and I’m gutted about it as if anyone deserves to be playing in this game is our captain Ammers!"

Still spaces still left on the supporters coach, meeting at the ground at 12:15. Contact Clive Kemmish on 07958662006 if you like to go. Kick off is at 3.
