Melksham Town vs Street preview

Cobblers return to league action

With the roller coaster ride of the cup competitions finished for this season Street's attention now solely turns to building on their impressive start to life in the Southern League. Saturday they make the trip to last season's Western League runners up Melksham town who Street have had some epic tussles with over the last few seasons.

Like Street, Melksham have adapted extremely well to life in this division and have only suffered one defeat in their opening 10 fixtures and with games in hand will be looking to kick on into those play off positions. Street fresh from their narrow defeat to Weymouth in the FA Trophy will be encouraged by their own league form having won their last 3 league games their most recent being a 3-1 win over Slimbridge at the Tannery Ground.

Manager Rich Fey "Back to league action and one we’re all looking forward to with the great facilities they have. We’ve put in some excellent performances this season and we will need another one Saturday if we want to leave Melksham with something. They are a good side and have strengthen since last season but so have we and we’re going there with confidence after two very tough games vs Weymouth in the trophy"

Always a good day out at Melksham, be great to see plenty of Cobbler fans make the trip and get behind the boys! Kick off is 15:00.
