It’s the Boxing Day game as Street head to Paulton Rovers this lunchtime looking to build on their recent good performances. It wasn’t a happy hunting ground for Street this season when they was convincingly knocked out the Somerset Premier Cup but a new game and a new challenge awaits.
Paulton sit in 16th position but recent wins this month over Yate and Cirencester shows they are a force to be reckoned with in what is a highly competitive division. Street themselves are on a mini revival and would of taken a lot of confidence from Saturday’s late victory but manager Rich Fey is expecting a hard game “Another tough game against a well run established Southern League club who in my opinion are in a false league position. With their squad they will finish the season a lot higher in this division. We’re not expected to get anything and already had a 3-0 drubbing in the Somerset Premier Cup but the lads had a great win on Saturday vs Cirencester and we going there full of confidence and a fully fit squad to choose from”
Cobbler fans encouraged to make the short trip up to Paulton! Please note that it is an earlier kick off time of 1pm.
