Street travel to high Flyers Yate Town tomorrow which on paper looks to be their toughest challenge of the season to date but an exciting test for Rich Fey's men.
Yate Town have been in sparkling form this season and sit top of the division on goal difference ahead of Blackfield and Langley and are in the middle if a great run picking up 4 wins in their last 5 games. The latest of those wins being a very good 2-0 away win against Melksham Town so the 'Bluebells' come into this encounter with plenty of confidence.
Street have now reached the half way point of their league season and are currently well positioned in 7th place. Supporters will be delighted with their progress to date and with three wins and three draws in their last 6 games shows the Cobblers are in decent form themselves buoyed by Phil Ormrod's last gasp equaliser against Barnstaple Town on New Years Day.
Manager Rich Fey " It doesn’t come much harder then travelling away to top of the league. Yate are in great form and have been in the top 2 most of the season. We’re looking forward to it and this is why we tried so hard to get out of the Western League for 2 years for games like tomorrow. Good club, good crowd & good pitch! Our boys have been outstanding lately and still never gave up on NYD and managed to nick one at the end to save a point so I know we will prepare properly, enjoy the day and give a good account of ourselves"
Away support greatly appreciated, no coach for this game, a relatively short journey up the M5 for those that can make it.
Up The Cobbs!
