It’s Southern League action tomorrow as we welcome Cinderford Town to the Tannery Ground. Both teams will be familiar with each other having faced each other 3 times this season, each game full of goal mouth action and talking points.
Cinderford defeated Street 1-0 in the reverse league fixture back in September with a second half strike from Rich Greaves. Currently sitting just outside the play offs in 9th place, the Foresters will be hoping to keep pace by grabbing a big three points against the Cobblers who are only a point behind them in the table.
After a sticky spell Street have performed extremely well in recent weeks by drawing at Moneyfields then beating Mangotsfield United 2-0 at the Tannery last Saturday. Despite some concern with the recent weather manager Rich Fey is preparing his team for a tough battle "Really appreciate the club doing what they can to get the game on. We’re in good spirits after a great result last weekend against Mangotsfield and really pleased with the clean sheet from that game. Tomorrow will be tough having recently beat a very good Larkhall Athletic side and if its on we will have to adapt to the conditions quickly and give it our all as we always do"
We are pleased to welcome a host of the club sponsors to the Tannery for the game tomorrow with a pre match buffet provided and a chance to see how their support has made a difference to the club in our first season at Southern League level. Any sponsors who haven't confirmed their attendance please drop James Vickery a message on 07792866367 and he will make sure you are looked after!
A pitch inspection is planned in the morning but certainly we will be doing all we can to get the game on. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and Twitter feed for updates.
Bar/turnstiles open at 130pm, kick off is 3pm all support greatly appreciated.
UP THE COBBS!
