Street vs Evesham United preview

A terrific game in prospect as 7th place Street take on 5th place Evesham United at The Tannery Ground in a clash of two teams vying for those promotion places. In the reverse fixture back in December a Ben Amghar goal very late on salvaged a point in what can only be described as horrendous football conditions!

After an excellent start to the campaign which seen Evesham top the table for the first part of the season they have since returned a steady flow points to keep themselves just inside the top 5 with a host of clubs hot on their heels including Street. After two recent defeats Evesham bounced back well last Saturday by taking a very good 3 points away at Larkhall Athletic.

Street will feel they are in decent form themselves with only 1 defeat in their last 6 games the most recent result being a 2-1 away win at Slimbridge, and could of scored many more had the Cobblers been more ruthless in front of goal. Manager Rich Fey is looking forward to the challenge of finishing the season strongly "Here’s the start of 10 big games. We will have a massive say on the top 5 come the end of season as we play the current top 8 in the remaining fixtures. With 6 of them being at the Tannery, I’m counting on the home support to get behind these young lads. We were excellent last Saturday and it was enjoyable to watch and if we can do the same tomorrow we will give a good account of ourselves again. We have a full squad to choose from with captain Ben Amghar returning from suspension"

Turnstiles/bar open from 13:30, kick off is at 15:00. Come and get behind the Rich, Nath and the boys!
