PERFECT 10 FOR STREET

On Tuesday September 3rd Street under 18’s travelled to Wells City in the FA Youth Cup. After dominating the opening 15min Street fell behind when a quick counter, following a corner led, to a goal for Wells. The game fell into a lull until Street equalised in the 33rd Minute with Alessandro Costanza scoring. Street went ahead in the 36th minute with Costanza notching his 2nd of the night. Right on halftime Wells equalised following a mistake at the back.

Street then went onto dominate the 2nd half. in the 1st minute of the 2nd half Street nearly went in-front again when Reece Cornish hit the crossbar. Street finally went back in front in the 59th minute when Dan Jones scored. Street pulled further ahead in the 64th minute when Reece Cornish scored. In the 70th minute Street were awarded a penalty following a foul on Strange. Costanza stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way to complete a fine hat-trick. In the 72nd minute Will Osborne was replaced by Lewis Townsend. A minute later Street could have gone further ahead as Dan Jones hit the crossbar.

In the 74th minute Kyle Strange put Street further ahead and would score a further 3 goals to take his tally to 4 for the game and 12 goals in all competitions so far this season. Street’s magnificent second half display was rounded off when Leo Harwood scored Street’s 10th goal of the night. Street progress to the next round and a home tie against Helston fc week commencing 16th September.
