Bridgwater Town vs Street Preview

Street have been handed two tough away games over the Xmas period as they look to build on a 12 game winning streak that has seen them cement their place at the top of the Western League Premier division.

First of those games comes this Saturday as the Cobblers face Bridgwater Town. Earlier on in the season Street recorded an excellent 3-0 win over their local rivals with goals by top scorer Steve Murray and a double from Craig Herrod. A tough battle awaits this time around and with conditions being kind this week leading up to the game the stage set for a fascinating game between two of the best sides in the division.

A large crowd is expected for the game which will include a big away support with many Cobbler fans expected to make the short trip over to Bridgwater. Manager Rich Fey is fully aware of the test that awaits his side tomorrow but remains confident despite one or two injury concerns "We are expecting a really tough game tomorrow, Bridgwater are a big club and shouldn't really be in this league with their excellent fan base. We are down to the bare bones and didn't train this week as we are carrying a couple of knocks. Rudgie (Nathan Rudge) is in the squad and we also have a couple at a wedding but the squad will be used to its max and hopefully keep this excellent run going"

Kick off is 15:00, hope to see many Cobbler fans over there!
