Street vs Chippenham Park Preview

We try again! A run of only two games in 2018 has left the Cobblers and their supporters short of match action but with the forecast set fair there is optimism tomorrow's game will go ahead. That game is against Western League Div 1 opponents Chippenham Park who we welcome to the Tannery Ground as focus turns towards the Les Phillips Cup.

The Les Phillips cup has reached the last 16 stage and Chippenham Park have already negotiated 2 rounds, knocking out Longwell Green and Oldland Abbotonians. Street's only game in the competition was a dramatic 3-2 win against Bradford Town as Harry Foster scored in the last minute of extra time to send the Cobblers through.

Manager Rich Fey is keen to do well in the competition and keen to get back playing "Looking forward to getting back on the pitch and get some much needed game time under our belts. It's a great game for us to come back into and a cup we want to do well in. The boys are ready and chomping at the bit to build some momentum heading into a busy finish to the season. Squad news we have Jake Mawford suspended but Matt Hurley comes back into the squad after missing the win at Bridport last time out"

Come out and support the Cobblers, bar/turnstile open from 13:30 and kick off is 15:00. Mascot for the day is Jamie Lovell who is sure to bring lots of luck!

UP THE COBBS!
