Street vs Cribbs Preview

It has reached the quarter final stage of the Les Phillips Cup as Street play host to Cribbs at the Tannery ground this Saturday afternoon. A brief but welcomed shift in focus from the Cobblers league campaign which is of course going very well as we move into the closing weeks of the season.

Its the third home draw in a row for the Cobblers in this years competition with narrow victories previously over Bradford Town and Chippenham Park cementing their place in the last 8. Opponents Cribbs have beaten Clevedon Town and Wells City to get to this stage and are aiming for a repeat of their run in last years competition when they made it all the way to the final only to lose out on penalties to Melksham Town.

Manager Rich Fey is understandably pleased with his sides form "I’m really looking forward tomorrow after our excellent last min local derby winner last Saturday and Wednesday 3-0 Away win at 2nd place Bradford. The boys having been outstanding and tomorrow is a nice break away from the league knowing teams around us must win and we can concentrate on our quarter final fixture. It will be tough as Cribbs are a good side with a good manager but we’re at home again and hopefully the supporters come out again and get behind us in what is a unique season so far. Matt Hurley sits out the final match of his 3 match ban"

Come and get behind the Cobbs with a place in the semi-final up for grabs! Kick off is 15:00 with the bar and turnstiles open from 13:30.

UP THE COBBS!
