Street vs Bridport Preview

Good Friday action at the Tannery! (1PM KO)

The Easter weekend kicks off as high flying Cobblers welcome Bridport to the Tannery Ground. Its the first of a double header over the long weekend for Rich Fey's boys who also make the trip to Clevedon on Easter Monday. Street have opened up an impressive 14 point lead over the chasing pack and with 9 games to go there is real hope among the supporters that a successful end to the season awaits.

The visitors Bridport are one of only 4 teams to defeat Street this season knocking the Cobblers out the FA Cup back in August. Street got their revenge in the league back in February winning 3-2 thanks to goals by Dave O'Hare, Ross McErlain and Harry Foster. The Dorset side have been on a very good run of late winning 4 out of last 5 league games including a narrow 1-0 victory of in form Bridgwater Town last Monday evening.

A competitive game awaits but Street can hardly head into the game in better form having won their last 21 league games. Manager Rich Fey is keen to keep his players feet on the floor as they search for another big 3 points "Tomorrow is another home game and with 9 games left we need to try and keep this unbeaten run going. We’re hoping for a big crowd to cheer us on and with a 1pm KO and it being Good Friday I'm hoping we see some good numbers watching. Bridport are in the top ten, will be tough opposition and have some experienced players in their side so we need to be at our best to get something. We just need to concentrate on ticking these games off one at a time"

Please not the early kick off time of 1PM, bar and turnstiles open from 11:30AM. Great way to kick off the Easter weekend!
