Street vs Bitton preview

One point needed for Western League Premier Division Title!

As the dust settles on quite a manic weekend, attention now turns to seeing if Street can grab the point needed that will clinch the Western League Premier Division title. It will take a freakish set of results and massive goal difference swing to deny Street anyway but work is still to be done as we welcome Bitton to the Tannery Ground on Tuesday evening.

Bitton’s loss to Wellington on Saturday was on the back of a five match unbeaten run so they are in good form and have a team with a wealth of Western and Southern League experience so a tough battle awaits. It’s was the Dave O’Hare show in the reverse fixture back in September when he scored a perfect hat-trick in a 4-0 win, which ranks up there with one of our performances of the season.

It will be the Cobblers 5th game in 11 days as we continue to play catch up after a host of cancellations but manager Rich Fey is positive as always and hopes to extend the 25 match winning run whilst clinching that precious point that will secure the title "Another game and we now have 5 chances to get the point needed to be champions! After more heroics on Saturday of being 2-0 down at HT and winning 3-2 the boys can’t wait to get back out there and try to make history for the club. We will continue changing it around to keep everyone fresh and I hope a large following like Saturday is there make it a great atmosphere and brilliant evening for the club. Lewis Hogg returns to the squad.

Please come and get behind the team and potentially see the title being won! Bar and turnstiles open from 18:00 with kick off at 19:30.
