Street vs Chipping Sodbury Preview(2pm KO)

Final league game and trophy presentation

Programme Cover

This Saturday we welcome Chipping Sodbury as we complete our league programme drawing the curtain on a remarkable season. Fittingly our last game in the Toolstation Western League is at the Tannery Ground, a setting where Cobbler fans have enjoyed plenty of goals and have been fully entertained during the course of the 2017/18 season.

Chipping Sodbury’s form has dipped of late loosing their last 3 games but have enjoyed a competitive season and like most teams in the division are capable of a performance on the day. Street’s long unbeaten run was ended on Thursday night at Buckland and will be looking to bounce back to end the season on a high in front of the home support.

Manager Rich Fey “I’m Really looking forward to tomorrow in what should be a historic celebration. It’s our last league game and one we want to finish on a high. We are down to bare bones like many teams are this time of season. We also receive the league trophy at final whistle and the club presentation on evening so I’m asking for the town to come and make an atmosphere to remember. Who would have thought 9 months ago we would be going into final game 18 points clear!!!!!!!!!"

We will be welcoming league officials to the game who will be presenting captain Ben Amghar the league trophy immediately after the final whistle. Supporters player of the year will also be announced, still a chance to get your vote in this Saturday, several players in the running so your vote could make all the difference!

Massive day for the club so please come and not only see the trophy celebrations but show appreciation to Rich, Nath and all the players with what they have achieved this season. Bar and turnstiles opening at 12, so please come up and join in the fun!
