Street vs Buckland Preview

Semi Final at the Tannery!

It’s reached the semi final stage of the Les Phillips Cup with Street two games away from an historic league and cup double. However the challenge couldn’t be much tougher as we welcome in form Buckland Athletic to the Tannery Ground.

The two sides met in the league only last Thursday with Buckland running out deserved 2-0 winners. Our visitors this evening are still with a chance of 2nd place and promotion in the league and are certainly finishing the season strong having collected 28 points from the last 10 league games.

This will be Street’s last home game of the season and victory would set up a local derby final against either Bridgwater Town or Shepton Mallet on May 7th. Manager Rich Fey "After an unbelievable league season we look to try and reach a cup final. Buckland beat us Thursday so we know tonight is going to be hard. They brought in a few dual reg players on Thursday so I would expect that again from them even though they have a reserve team but we’re going to concentrate on us and the lads who have got us to where we are today. This is our last home game of the season as if we reach the final its bring played at Longwell Green so it would be great to have one last big crowd to cheer us on"

Kick off is 19:30, bar and turnstiles open from 18:15. Come and get behind the boys!
