Street vs Slimbridge preview

Southern League action at the Tannery

Following Street’s terrific FA Trophy exploits it’s back to Southern League action Saturday as we welcome Slimbridge to the Tannery Ground.

Street have crept into 3rd place after recent wins over Bideford and Thatcham to continue their great start to the season. Tomorrow’s opponents Slimbridge have struggled for consistency so far this season and sit in 18th place but have remained very competitive and will be hoping a win isn’t too far away to kick start their season.

Manager Rich Fey “After Tuesday’s outstanding performance in the Trophy we're back to league action and a chance to stay in and around the top half of the table. We welcome back Leigh Bailey & Craig Herrod into the squad but unfortunately Lewis Waldy has a one match ban. We have a very hard month ahead of us with games coming thick and fast and the whole squad will be needed. Last Tuesday was a good example with Lewis Tasker and Dave O'Hare returning to the starting 11 and putting in good performances and Ed Butcher as well coming off the bench scoring to score a great goal to seal the win. We have a strong squad and all of them are chomping at the bit to play in these games coming up!”

Come and support the Cobbs and see if they can continue their great form. Bar and Turnstiles open from 1pm, kick off is 3pm
