Street vs Winchester City

Big game at the Tannery Saturday

After three and half weeks of away trips and rearranged games the Tannery is the setting as Street welcomes Winchester City in a Southern League South Division One South Fixture. Its the first of two home league games this week as Rich Fey's men also face Bristol Manor Farm this Tuesday night.

Two recent defeats to Blackfield & Langley and Melksham has left Street four points outside the play off positions but with games in hand in what is a very tight league confidence is still high amongst the supporters that the Cobblers can kick on again and start moving up the table. Winchester sit one place above Street in the table and have had something of a resurgence lately winning their last three league games after a inconsistent start to the season. Its all set up for a fascinating encounter!

Fey "Looking forward to tomorrow after a two week break. The boys have trained really well the past two weeks and worked really hard. Due to injuries we have brought in Liam Kingston and George Morris-Edwards from Weston Super Mare and both go straight into the squad tomorrow. I’m looking forward to watching them perform over the next month as both lads have showed great attitudes. We have 2 home games in 4 days now and I’m hoping the supporters come out and help us get a positive result. Winchester have a great manager and are in a false position but results lately show they are climbing the table so we need to be at it from the start to get something"

Turnstiles and bar open from 1pm, Kick Off is at 3. Up The Cobbs!
