Street vs Mangotsfield United preview

Southern League action this Saturday as we welcome Mangotsfield United to the Tannery Ground. A late Harry Foster goal was the difference between the two sides back in September as the Cobblers recorded a 2-1 victory.

Despite an inconsistent campaign so far Mangotsfield have come into some form recently with two very good results at home. A very credible 0-0 draw with Evesham was followed up with a 5-0 win over Cinderford on Saturday with young striker Louis Britton scoring all 5!

Street's excellent 2-2 draw away at table toppers Moneyfields on Tuesday night ended a run of three defeats and Street supporters have been very encouraged by recent performances and feel a welcomed 3 points isn't too far away. Manager Rich Fey is remaining positive "Tomorrow will be tough against Mangotsfield who are a big club for this league. They had a great result last week beating Cinderford 5-0 so we need to be on our guard and try and perform like we have done the last two games. We were outstanding on Tuesday and I hope that’s turned a corner after losing 3 on the bounce, something Nath and I havnt experienced since we joined the club. Vice Captain Steve Murray returns to the squad but Craig Herrod has joined Wells for a period to up his match fitness"

Bar and turnstiles open at 13:30, kick off is 15:00.

Big thank you to birthday boy Roy Winter for sponsoring the game, UP THE COBBS!
