Street vs Yate Town preview

It’s the final league game of the season as we welcome 2nd place Yate Town to the Tannery Ground. In the reverse fixture earlier in the season Street suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat courtesy of a second half penalty.

Having already secured a home tie in the play offs, Yate Town need just a point to finish the season as runners up. Having been in the top two for the majority of he season 'The Bluebells' have stumbled slightly of late losing 3 out of their last 5 games but did pick up 3 points in their last game, beating Melksham Town 3-2.

Street’s form has been very good with only 1 defeat in their last 5 games and had a great Easter weekend with wins over AFC Totton and Barnstaple. Manager Rich Fey is keen to end his reign as Street Manager on a high note “Tomorrow is going to be a strange day as it’s the clubs last Southern League fixture and my last game as manager. We are currently 8th and a win will help us finish in that position which can only be described as unbelievable considering this was our first ever season in this division but worst case scenario I’m hopeful of a top 10 finish. Yate only need that one point so the spectators are in for a good game. We are missing Craig Herrod and Dave O'Hare due to unavailability but welcome back Harry Foster And Leigh Bailey. Finally I like to thank everyone for the last 3 years and wish the club every success for the future in their new direction”

Our special mascots for the game are Cara Fey and Elliot Rudge, hope they have a great day.

Huge thank you to Rich, Nath, Ant, Kev and Graham for their efforts over the last three years, an immense contribution and appreciated by everyone at the club. Good luck, and come and please come and visit us soon. Not forgetting the players who have once again performed above and beyond this season and deserve a a great season send off, so come and get behind the boys tomorrow!
